Senior Planning Engineer

Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Manage planning, budgeting, cost phasing, and control from project initiation through close-out.
• Use Primavera P6 and Primavera Web Scheduling to monitor baselines, updated schedules, and project costs.
• Review contractor work programs, narratives, and supporting information and provide analysis.
• Verify actual progress against original plans.
• Update cost plans and cash flows and consolidate results in monthly reports.
• Implement and maintain an Earned Value Management System.
• Perform extension-of-time assessments and prepare recommendation reports.
• Analyze engineering problems, evaluate alternatives, and recommend solutions.

Required qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
• At least 15 years of experience in large infrastructure projects, including roads, sewer, surface water, or potable water projects.
• Experience in a similar role with an engineering consultancy, supervision consultant, or project management consultancy.
• Basic engineering knowledge in electrical, mechanical, civil, or a related field.
• Certification in project planning and scheduling, Primavera applications, and cost engineering.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Primavera P6, Primavera Contract Management or Expedition, and Power BI.
• MMUP certificate is required.
