Senior Network Engineer

Role Overview

Location and Work Mode

• The role supports fully remote work across Europe.
• Candidates in Greece within 55 km of the Athens office follow a hybrid schedule of two office days and three remote days.
• Candidates in Greece beyond that radius may work fully remotely; relocation to Athens is also supported.

Tools and Technologies

• BGP, EVPN-VXLAN, JunOS, Juniper QFX and MX, OSPF, spine-leaf and IP fabric architectures, VLANs, and VRFs.
• Linux networking, Ansible, Terraform, Prometheus, Grafana, SNMP, streaming telemetry, and observability tooling.

Network Engineering Responsibilities

• Design and implement spine-leaf architectures across multiple global data center sites.
• Operate and troubleshoot BGP peering, route policies, and prefix filtering.
• Build and maintain EVPN-VXLAN fabrics for scalable Layer 2 and Layer 3 connectivity.
• Configure, upgrade, and harden Juniper QFX and MX equipment running JunOS.
• Develop infrastructure-as-code automation using Ansible, Terraform, or similar tools.
• Improve monitoring, alerting, and observability and execute capacity upgrades and hardware refreshes.
• Collaborate on networking requirements for VMware, Kubernetes, and Ceph clusters.
• Document designs and runbooks and participate in global network on-call rotation.

Required Experience

• At least 5 years of professional network engineering experience focused on data center networking.
• Deep hands-on BGP experience, including eBGP/iBGP, route policies, communities, and prefix management.
• Proven EVPN-VXLAN fabric design and operations experience.
• Strong JunOS and Juniper QFX and MX platform proficiency.
• Understanding of spine-leaf or IP fabric architectures, VLANs, VRFs, and inter-VLAN routing.
• Experience with Ansible, Terraform, Nornir, or similar network automation tools.
• Linux networking fundamentals and strong troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent written communication for documentation and remote collaboration.

Bonus Experience

• Multi-region or multi-continent data center networking experience.
• Ceph, Kubernetes networking, JNCIA, JNCIS, JNCIP, Golang, or cybersecurity-focused platform experience.
