Responsibilities

Manage and maintain Linux systems and Kubernetes environment
Administer and troubleshoot Linux based systems and services in enterprise environments
Manage and maintain network security infrastructure including firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, WAFs, ADCs, and email security gateways
Monitor network traffic and security events to identify suspicious activities and respond proactively to potential threats
Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, security audits, and risk assessments
Implement and maintain security policies, procedures, and standards
Manage and support Windows Server environments including Active Directory, Group Policies, DNS, DHCP, and authentication services
Support and secure virtualization platforms such as VMware, Hyper V, AHV, and Citrix environments
Work with cloud environments including AWS, Microsoft Azure, and GCP to implement cloud security best practices
Configure and maintain Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and Data Classification solutions
Collaborate with IT and infrastructure teams to ensure secure deployment and configuration
Provide technical support during security incidents, investigations, and remediation activities

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field
Minimum 5+ years of experience in Network Security Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related roles
Strong hands on experience with NGFWs, IDS/IPS, VPNs, WAFs, ADCs, Email Security Gateways, and network security protocols
Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, and enterprise networking technologies
Experience with Linux and K8 administration and troubleshooting
Strong experience with Windows Server environments and Active Directory administration
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, including cloud security concepts and implementations
Experience with virtualization technologies including VMware, Hyper V, AHV, and Citrix
Experience with DLP and Data Classification solutions
Experience in vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, security audits, and incident response
Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and problem solving skills

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Resident Engineer – Network Security and Systems to join our team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for securing, maintaining, and optimizing enterprise network, systems, and security infrastructure across on premises, virtualized, and cloud environments.
The candidate should possess strong expertise in network security technologies along with hands on experience in Linux systems, Windows Active Directory, virtualization platforms, and cloud security.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and maintain Linux systems and Kubernetes environment.
Administer and troubleshoot Linux based systems and services in enterprise environments.
Manage and maintain network security infrastructure including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), VPNs, WAFs, ADCs, and email security gateways.
Monitor network traffic and security events to identify suspicious activities and respond proactively to potential threats.
Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, security audits, and risk assessments to identify weaknesses and recommend remediation measures.
Implement and maintain security policies, procedures, and standards to protect enterprise infrastructure and data.
Manage and support Windows Server environments including Active Directory, Group Policies (GPO), DNS, DHCP, and authentication services.
Support and secure virtualization platforms such as VMware, Hyper V, AHV, and Citrix environments.
Work with cloud environments including AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to implement cloud security best practices and controls.
