Engagement Objective
Deliver expert-level cloud infrastructure operations, optimization, management, and security across a multi-cloud environment.
Ensure high availability, cost efficiency, strong security, and seamless automation across the organization's infrastructure.
Infrastructure and Security
- Provision and optimize workloads across GCP Compute Engine, GKE, Azure Virtual Machines, and AKS.
- Design and maintain VPCs, VNets, subnets, IP allocation schemes, and load balancers.
- Configure client VPN and site-to-site IPsec VPN connectivity to on-premises infrastructure.
- Manage GCP Cloud Storage and Azure Blob Storage.
- Enforce least-privilege access, encryption, firewall rules, and secrets management.
Automation and Monitoring
- Manage Datadog logging, metrics, and application performance monitoring across cloud environments.
- Design alert thresholds to detect health degradation and prevent unplanned downtime.
- Automate provisioning, updates, and drift management using Terraform.
Cloud Financial Operations
- Analyze spend using GCP Billing, Azure Cost Management, and native AWS billing tools.
- Implement rightsizing, autoscaling, committed use discounts, reserved instances, and savings plans.
- Deliver cost analysis reports with actionable reduction strategies to executive stakeholders.
Backup and Disaster Recovery
- Audit automated backup routines and enforce regional and cross-region retention policies.
- Configure snapshots, object versioning, and geo-redundant storage replication.
- Plan, document, and execute disaster recovery drills against defined RTO and RPO metrics.
Governance and Collaboration
- Partner with enterprise architects, internal on-premises infrastructure teams, and external cloud vendors.
- Maintain centralized version-controlled repositories for infrastructure as code and automation scripts.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and lead infrastructure proof-of-concept initiatives.
- Author and update SOPs, runbooks, and architectural diagrams.
Requirements
- Deliver expert-level cloud infrastructure operations, optimization, management, and security across a multi-cloud environment.
- Manage infrastructure across GCP and Azure compute, orchestration, networking, storage, identity, and security services.
- Implement infrastructure as code and environment automation using Terraform.
- Analyze cloud spend and implement resource optimization and cost-reduction strategies.
- Plan, document, and execute disaster recovery drills against defined RTO and RPO metrics.
- Partner with enterprise architects, internal infrastructure teams, and external cloud vendors.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and lead infrastructure proof-of-concept initiatives.
