Senior Mobile Engineer, iOS

What You Bring

• At least 7 years of professional software development experience, including at least 2 years in a Senior Software Engineer role.
• At least 3 years of professional mobile application development experience.
• Strong experience with Swift, SwiftUI, and iOS frameworks.
• Deep knowledge of iOS architecture, design patterns, and performance optimization.
• Experience with complex scalable software, technical debt, codebase refactoring, and mobile security.
• Experience with RSS, IMAP, POP, or Matrix and familiarity with CalDAV or CardDAV standards.
• Advanced Git proficiency, collaborative workflows, debugging, testing, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership, collaborate across teams, and communicate effectively asynchronously.
• Ability to responsibly evaluate and use emerging technologies, including AI-enabled tools.

Bonus Points

• Familiarity with Apple App Store and Google Play Store compliance guidelines is a bonus.
• Experience contributing to open-source projects or communities is a bonus.
• French, German, Japanese, or another widely supported Thunderbird language is a bonus.

Success in the Role

Work Environment

• This is a full-time, fully remote position with a distributed team working across time zones and disciplines.
• The team relies on clear communication, documentation, and collaborative decision-making.

Compensation

• The Canada salary range is $108,000 to $125,000 CAD.
• Title, level, and compensation will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
