Own complex mobile features from idea to production and beyond, contributing to technical design and pragmatic engineering decisions.
Work across native mobile platforms and the evolving React Native ecosystem while influencing architecture, practices, and patterns.
Partner with Product, Design, backend, and platform teams to solve mobile engineering problems at scale.

The role and its impact
Build and shape the Xero Accounting App, a flagship mobile experience used by small businesses worldwide.
Own complex mobile features from idea to production and beyond, contributing to technical design and pragmatic engineering decisions.
Work across native mobile platforms and the evolving React Native ecosystem while influencing architecture, practices, and patterns.
Partner with Product, Design, backend, and platform teams to solve mobile engineering problems at scale.
Use AI-assisted engineering workflows to accelerate delivery, improve quality, and focus on high-impact problems.
Current team priorities
- Build mobile experiences for banking, invoicing, payments, notifications, tasks, and file management workflows.
- Shape APIs and data flows across the mobile and backend boundary.
- Help evolve the architecture toward React Native while preserving performance, reliability, and customer experience.
- Take responsibility for availability, performance, accuracy, security, scalability, incident response, and post-mortems.
- Improve engineering efficiency through automation, simplification, and AI-assisted development.
