The Hunter Valley’s best vineyards and restaurants are less than half an hour away by car. In Singleton’s oldest streets, grand 1800s buildings reflect the township’s early thriving agricultural industry.

Located 14 km northwest of Singleton, Ashton underground mine has been operational for nearly 20 years. The mine produces semi-soft coking coal for export through the Port of Newcastle, for use in the steel manufacturing industry and thermal coal for power generation. Ashton employs approximately 300 people across our surface and underground operations.
