Role Overview
The Senior MEP Engineer will oversee the design, coordination, and implementation of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for building projects in Dubai.
This is a full-time, on-site role involving design leadership, technical review, multidisciplinary coordination, site meetings, and construction support.
Responsibilities
- Lead MEP design activities and prepare or review technical drawings and calculations.
- Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, project managers, and contractors.
- Attend site meetings and resolve technical issues during design and construction.
- Review shop drawings and material submittals.
- Perform site inspections and manage quality control.
- Support value engineering to optimize system performance and cost.
- Mentor junior engineers and improve design and project delivery processes.
Qualifications
- Strong MEP engineering knowledge, including building services design and system integration.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or similar BIM software.
- Familiarity with UAE regulations and international building and MEP codes.
- Experience coordinating MEP deliverables across design and construction stages.
- Skills in technical documentation, drawing and submittal review, site inspections, and quality checks.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering.
- Significant MEP engineering experience on building projects, preferably in the UAE or GCC.
- Ability to work on-site in Dubai, manage multiple projects, and lead junior engineers.
