Role Overview
Senior MEP Engineer role supporting an international 4/5-star luxury hospitality construction project.
Reports directly to the Senior Project Manager or Owner.
Utility and Building Services
- Supervise backup generators, synchronized switchgear, power distribution links, and related structural integration.
- Direct centralized chiller, VRF, kitchen exhaust, and laundry exhaust installation, routing, and load balancing.
- Manage reverse osmosis treatment plants, graywater recycling, and high-pressure commercial booster pump systems.
Hospitality Infrastructure
- Coordinate drainage, gas-line plumbing, grease traps, and electrical rough-ins for commercial kitchens and bars.
- Manage steam lines, graywater plumbing, and dedicated electrical feeds for industrial laundry equipment.
- Ensure low-voltage paths for guestroom energy management, smart locks, and environmental controls.
Life Safety and Security
- Enforce installation requirements for fire detection zones, wet and dry sprinklers, and localized fire suppression systems.
- Oversee CCTV, biometric access control, and security response zoning integrated into the architectural layout.
Subcontractor Management and Commissioning
- Review subcontractor MEP shop drawings, schematic changes, and load calculations against architectural models.
- Lead air and water balancing, pressure-load verification, and black-start emergency power simulations.
Candidate Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a relevant building-services discipline.
- Minimum 7–10+ years of active on-site construction engineering experience.
- At least one completed major international hotel or high-end multi-use commercial asset is required.
- Working command of ASHRAE, British Standards, NEC, and NFPA regulations.
