Role Description
- The Senior Medical Communications Specialist is a full time, on site role based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
- The specialist will develop and manage high quality medical and scientific content, including slide decks, publications, reports, patient education materials, and digital assets for healthcare professionals and other stakeholders.
- This role involves translating complex scientific data into clear, accurate, and engaging communications, aligning all materials with regulatory standards and brand strategy.
- Day to day responsibilities include collaborating with medical, marketing, and digital teams; conducting literature reviews and data analysis; ensuring consistency and clarity across all communication channels; and supporting medical events, conferences, and training programs with relevant content.
- The specialist will also contribute to communication strategies that respond to identified unmet needs in the region’s healthcare market.
Qualifications
- Strong medical and scientific writing and editing skills, with proven ability to produce clear, accurate, and evidence based content.
- Experience in medical communications, including creation of educational materials, scientific slide decks, and content for healthcare professionals.
- Ability to interpret clinical data, conduct literature reviews, and synthesize scientific information for diverse audiences.
- Familiarity with pharmaceutical and medical industry standards, ethical guidelines, and regulatory requirements related to medical content.
- Competence in digital tools and platforms used for content development, presentation, and distribution (e.g., Microsoft Office, presentation software, basic content management systems).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic language skills are an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross functional teams, including medical, marketing, and digital specialists.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a life science, pharmacy, medicine, or related field; advanced degree or prior medical communications agency experience is a plus.
- Previous experience in the Middle East healthcare or pharmaceutical sector is beneficial, with an understanding of regional market dynamics.
