Responsibilities
- Supervise and monitor the mechanical aspects of construction works to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and relevant codes
- Manage and coordinate day to day site activities with the contractor, reporting progress, risks, and issues to the Resident Engineer and Project Management team
- Review and approve method statements, material submittals, shop drawings, and as built documentation
- Lead a team of engineers and inspectors; delegate tasks and responsibilities effectively
- Participate in progress and coordination meetings; contribute technical expertise and ensure resolution of site issues
- Ensure quality assurance and quality control processes are implemented and followed throughout the mechanical works
- Support testing and commissioning activities, ensuring systems are installed, tested, and operated in accordance with project specifications
- Maintain clear documentation of site activities, issues, and resolutions
- Ensure all safety protocols and site regulations are strictly followed
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
- Master’s degree is a plus
- Minimum 15 years of total experience in mechanical engineering, including at least 5 years in airport projects
- Proven experience in construction supervision and site based roles, specifically within the MEP domain
- Previous experience in leading engineering teams and coordinating with multiple stakeholders on large scale infrastructure projects
- Solid understanding of local and international mechanical codes and standards
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- UAE/GCC experience required
- Familiarity with BIM workflows is advantageous
- Familiarity with Aconex and Proficient AutoCAD skills
- Excellent command of written and spoken English
- Ability to join within 1 month or less
