Senior Mechanical Engineer

The Mechanical Engineer III for Aii Systems designs and develops robust automation and mechanical solutions that help customers achieve production, quality, and ergonomic goals.

This role leads projects from concept through installation, ensuring seamless execution and customer satisfaction.

Working with cross-functional teams, the engineer drives innovation, optimizes designs, and delivers high-performance systems that support company growth.

• Review customer requirements and develop solutions that meet specifications.
• Design automated machinery from concept through final detailing using Computer Aided Design (CAD) software.
• Specify materials, components, and manufacturing processes for parts and assemblies.
• Generate detailed mechanical drawings and integrate pneumatic, hydraulic, servo, robotic, and other automation components.
• Perform stress analysis and size servos using manufacturer software to ensure robust designs.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Collaborate with customers to develop conceptual designs and establish project goals.
• Lead projects from initial design through installation and equipment runoff at the customer’s facility.
• Maintain communication with internal teams and customers to meet schedules and budget targets.
• Develop concepts into solid models and manage print release to production.
• Assist with assembly, startup, and installation of machinery.
• Create and execute test plans to validate designs, materials, and processes.
• Prepare and deliver technical presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
• Drive continuous improvement through process optimization, waste reduction, and employee development.
• Ensure safety in both office and shop environments.
• Communicate results clearly and apply innovative approaches to project challenges.
