Role Description
The Senior Mechanical Engineer will lead the design, development, and implementation of mechanical systems for electromechanical projects.
The role is full-time and on-site in Dubai, with regular presence at project locations and collaboration with construction, electrical, and management teams.
Project Engineering Responsibilities
- Prepare and review mechanical designs and CAD drawings, perform technical calculations, and oversee installation and commissioning activities.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders while managing project timelines and resources.
- Resolve technical issues on-site and prepare technical documentation and reports.
Improvement and Delivery
- Support research and development initiatives to improve system performance.
- Ensure mechanical work complies with project specifications, industry standards, local regulations, and construction requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
- Several years of mechanical engineering experience in electromechanical contracting or building services, preferably in the UAE.
- Strong mechanical engineering and machine design skills for complex electromechanical systems.
Technical Skills
- CAD skills for preparing, reviewing, and updating mechanical drawings and models.
- Project management skills for planning, coordinating, and monitoring activities, budgets, and timelines.
- R&D skills for evaluating technologies, optimizing system performance, and improving engineering processes.
- Strong knowledge of codes and standards, HVAC and piping systems, and construction practices.
Additional Qualifications
- Proficiency in engineering software and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaborative working abilities.
- Professional certifications and large-scale industrial or commercial project experience are advantageous.
