Role Overview
Senior Mechanical Engineer (Design) role within an engineering consultancy in the UAE.
The role leads mechanical design projects and supports clients, contractors, and project teams through design and execution.
Responsibilities
- Lead mechanical engineering design projects from concept through detailed design.
- Prepare and review HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, and other mechanical systems designs.
- Review drawings, specifications, calculations, engineering reports, technical submissions, shop drawings, and material submittals.
- Coordinate mechanical designs with architectural, structural, electrical, and other disciplines.
- Conduct site inspections, provide technical support, attend meetings, and make technical recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with international standards, UAE codes, and authority requirements.
- Mentor junior engineers and support development of the mechanical engineering team.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 8+ years of relevant experience, preferably with an engineering consultancy.
- Strong experience in building services and MEP design.
- Knowledge of international standards, UAE regulations, and authority requirements.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and relevant engineering or design software.
- Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- UAE experience is preferred.
- Professional engineering certification is an advantage.
Compensation
- Pay starts from AED 10,000 per month.
