Role Overview
Senior Mechanical Engineer responsible for industrial mechanical projects across Saudi Arabia.
The role covers planning, coordination, execution, and technical supervision within industrial plants.
Workplace and Location
- The workplace is on-site.
- The office is located in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, with work at various project sites across Saudi Arabia.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
- The role requires 8–9 years of experience, including at least 8 years in mechanical design and project execution.
- Strong experience in industrial mechanical projects and site execution is required.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Autodesk Inventor is required.
- Strong technical project documentation skills are required.
Key Responsibilities
- Review project specifications, scopes of work, PFDs, P&IDs, general arrangement drawings, layouts, and fabrication drawings.
- Prepare material take-offs, bills of materials, purchase requisitions, and technical submittals.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, vendors, subcontractors, procurement teams, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Supervise site fabrication, equipment erection, and related civil-interface works.
- Monitor schedules, manpower, materials, work progress, and subcontractor performance.
- Review vendor drawings, technical offers, equipment specifications, and fabrication documentation.
- Ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, applicable codes, and quality requirements.
- Resolve site technical issues and manage approved design or field modifications.
- Prepare method statements, inspection requests, progress reports, punch lists, as-built drawings, and operations and maintenance documentation.
- Coordinate mechanical completion, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and final project handover.
