Role Overview
The role leads India-based engineering teams delivering Caterpillar's Dealer ERP and CRM system on Microsoft Dynamics 365.
The position combines people leadership, enterprise architecture, software delivery, budgeting, and collaboration with global stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct, motivate, and develop teams while maintaining high standards of technical work.
- Manage staffing, budgeting, and operational oversight for India-based engineering teams.
- Deliver Dynamics 365 design, implementation, and testing across ERP, CRM, finance, supply chain, field service, and related modules.
- Design secure and scalable integrations using Azure Service Bus, Event Hub, Event Grid, Fabric, API Management, Functions, and Logic Apps.
- Create and present application, data, integration, and deployment architecture diagrams.
- Supervise employees and contractors, mentor engineers, and foster continuous learning.
- Design and test Power Platform solutions using Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI.
- Guide customization versus configuration decisions and adapt the Common Data Model to business data domains.
- Coordinate product roadmaps with Product Management and Microsoft's Wave 1 and Wave 2 release cycles.
- Evaluate Copilot, AI Builder, and other AI services for solution roadmaps.
- Conduct architectural reviews and identify optimization and technical debt reduction opportunities.
- Work with Product, Business, and Finance teams to create and manage budgets.
Candidate Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Master's degree is preferred.
- Experience designing and implementing large-scale Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations and/or Supply Chain Management solutions.
- Strong understanding of dealer operations and equipment or heavy machinery business processes.
- Experience delivering full-lifecycle Dynamics 365 implementations from requirements through deployment.
- Extensive systems architecture experience focused on Microsoft Dynamics 365 implementations.
Technical Expertise
- Deep expertise with Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations, Supply Chain Management, Field Service, and related modules.
- Experience with Azure PaaS and IaaS services, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Integration Services.
- Proficiency with Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and AI Builder.
- Knowledge of Azure Synapse Analytics, data modeling, C#, and X++ development.
- Experience with Azure DevOps source control, pipelines, and application lifecycle management.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID, role-based security, and data protection.

Communicate clearly with diverse audiences and ensure important messages are understood.
Build relationships with global stakeholders using strong emotional intelligence and influence.
Demonstrate software engineering experience across major or multiple products and global delivery considerations.
