Introduction to the Team
In B2B, we bring Expedia Group's innovative technology and distribution solutions to partners across the world.
These businesses include global financial institutions, corporate managed travel, offline travel agents, global travel suppliers (like major airlines) and many more.
We are looking for a Senior Manager, Software Development Engineering to lead a team of talented engineers delivering scalable, reliable B2B technology solutions.
In this role, you will own multiple technical domains, partner closely with product management, and build software that powers our partners' businesses on a global scale.
In this role, you will:
Lead and develop a team of 6–10 engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, inclusion, and continuous growth.
Define team goals and connect them to broader business outcomes, aligning efforts across multiple teams working together.
Partner with product management to influence and deliver the product roadmap, balancing feature development, system maintenance, and team wellbeing.
Anticipate and resolve bottlenecks in cross-team workflows, coordinating process improvements and defining clear measures of success.
Advocate for software design best practices, operational excellence, and resiliency — including unit testing, SLA establishment, and scalability.
Research and recommend frameworks, cloud services, and architectural design patterns in line with Expedia Group's technology standards.
Bridge communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring proposals and technical issues receive appropriate consideration and timely resolution.
