The Data Quality Platform team builds a centralized, scalable, and extensible platform for understanding, validating, and trusting batch and streaming data.
The platform provides automated profiling, configurable quality rules, data contracts, anomaly detection, incident workflows, alerting, and data health visibility.
The team builds reliable, high-performance, secure, and cost-effective services integrated with data pipelines and analytical systems.
In this role
- Lead, coach, and develop one software engineering team responsible for robust, scalable, and secure Data Quality Platform services.
- Set technical direction across data profiling, quality rules, data contracts, anomaly detection, alerting, incident management, and data health experiences.
- Lead complex cross-organizational initiatives and make resource, delivery, product, and architectural trade-offs.
- Partner with product, architecture, program, data platform, and data domain teams to prioritize roadmaps and deliver outcomes.
- Raise standards for coding, testing, architecture, observability, security, continuous delivery, performance, and cost management.
- Ensure reliable production operation through on-call strategies, incident management, root-cause analysis, capacity planning, and service-level improvement.
- Operate machine-assisted capabilities that improve rule authoring, anomaly detection, and issue explanation.
Minimum qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent level; a technical degree is preferred.
- 8+ years of relevant professional experience and 3+ years of people management experience.
- End-to-end ownership of complex software or data platform systems, including design, API design, data modelling, implementation, and operations.
- Strong proficiency in data structures, algorithms, distributed systems, testing, continuous integration and delivery, and secure, reliable, observable services.
- Experience with data platforms, data quality, data observability, data pipelines, data contracts, analytics systems, or a related domain.
- Ability to set technical direction, make data-driven trade-offs, and align cross-functional stakeholders.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience leading a software engineering team in a large-scale distributed technology environment.
- Experience designing high-throughput data systems and integrating batch or streaming pipelines.
- Production operations experience at scale, including reliability practices, capacity planning, performance optimization, high availability, and resilience.
- Experience with architectural modernization, platform migration, or legacy system deprecation.
- Experience with cloud-native data processing, workflow orchestration, anomaly detection, machine-assisted workflows, and observability platforms.
- Ability to build an inclusive engineering culture and develop engineers through feedback, coaching, and career planning.
