Director, Project Delivery - Energy Infrastructure & Renewables

This is a director-level role for an engineer who has spent a career building complex energy assets - and doing it right.

You

will lead end-to-end construction delivery across utility-scale renewable energy projects (solar, wind, hydro) and gas

infrastructure (LNG, CCGT, IPP) across Africa.

You will be accountable for zero-error engineering designs, on-budget

delivery, and commissioning outcomes that pass on the first attempt.

▸ Own the full project lifecycle - from pre-financial close and detailed engineering design through EPC execution,

commissioning, and O&M handover

▸ Deliver 100%-accurate engineering designs; zero error margin is the operating standard, not an aspiration

▸ Direct EPC contractors and in-house construction teams; enforce quality, schedule, and cost discipline

▸ Lead budget and schedule management; report directly on project KPIs to EVP Technical Services and investors

▸ Ensure full HSE and regulatory compliance across all project sites and geographies

▸ Manage stakeholder relationships: utilities, regulatory agencies, government bodies, and investors

Experience: 15+ years at director level in energy project delivery across Africa - large-scale solar PV, gas-fired power, HV

transmission, LNG, or IPP

EPC Expertise: Hands-on experience leading EPC project execution, contract negotiation, and project financial oversight

Education: Engineering degree required; Master's preferred.

PMP®, Prince2®, or equivalent certification required

Mobility Must be willing to deploy across diverse African geographies on extended assignment

We are looking for a technically exceptional renewable energy engineer - someone who has designed real systems that are

now generating real power.

This role demands mastery of solar, wind, and hybrid system design, combined with the

commercial awareness to deliver innovative, cost-effective solutions.

You will work across the full project cycle, from

feasibility and resource assessment to construction support and commissioning.

▸ Develop detailed engineering designs, layouts, and specifications for solar, wind, and hybrid power systems

▸ Conduct energy yield assessments, system modelling, and load-flow analyses using industry-standard tools

▸ Lead site inspections, grid-connection evaluations, and technical feasibility inputs

▸ Provide technical support through procurement, installation, testing, and commissioning phases

▸ Integrate QHSE standards into all design work; conduct quality reviews

▸ Prepare engineering reports, drawings, and manuals for stakeholders and regulatory agencies

Experience: 7–10 years in renewable energy design; solar, wind, hybrid, or microgrid focus

Tools: AutoCAD, PVSyst, Helioscope, ETAP, or equivalent; strong power systems analysis capability

Education: Bachelor's in Electrical, Mechanical, or Renewable Energy Engineering; Master's preferred; COREN an advantage

Competencies: Rigorous analytical thinking, multi-project management, strong documentation discipline
