Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of manufacturing engineers to build a high performing organization
- Manage facilities engineering and the maintenance team
- Oversee process safety and process optimization for chemical manufacturing processes
- Identify and implement improvements in cost, quality, safety, and delivery performance
- Support plant operations through troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and best practices
- Establish and monitor KPIs related to safety, quality, yield, and operational efficiency
- Support transition of new products from development into full scale manufacturing
- Oversee multiple engineering and capital projects, ensuring delivery on schedule, scope, and budget
- Act as key interface between engineering, manufacturing, procurement, quality, R&D, and commercial teams
- Develop and execute engineering strategies aligned with business goals
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or graduate degree in Chemical Engineering or related field
- 8 12+ years of experience in chemical manufacturing or process engineering
- 4+ years of leadership experience managing engineering teams
- Experience with new product introduction, process scale up, and manufacturing integration
- Significant experience in process safety management
- Familiarity with DCS/SCADA systems
- Proven track record managing complex, cross functional projects
- Strong leadership and team development skills
- Financial acumen and budget management experience

The Role
- Lead and manage the manufacturing engineering function within a chemical plant environment.
- Oversee technical manufacturing operations, continuous improvement, and site technical operations.
- Ensure safe, efficient, and cost effective production.
- Lead a team of manufacturing engineers and a facilities engineer.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
