The Role
Report to the VP of Information Technology and own daily operation, security, and modernization of the corporate technology platform.
Lead a small IT operations team, manage infrastructure vendors, and build a documented, resilient, auditable platform.
The role is hands-on and combines leadership with direct work in the systems owned.
What You Will Do
- Administer and harden Microsoft Entra ID, including security groups, Conditional Access, Privileged Identity Management, access lifecycle, and license hygiene.
- Operate Microsoft 365, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, and Teams, while leading endpoint management and standardization.
- Own Azure production operations across App Services, containers, Key Vault, storage, networking, monitoring, and cost management.
- Administer AWS accounts covering EC2, Windows Server, SQL Server, Active Directory, Linux integration, VPC networking, IAM, and S3.
- Own backup and disaster recovery across cloud and on-premises systems with tested recovery objectives.
- Lead security operations, vulnerability remediation, incident response, audit evidence, and cyber insurance evidence collection.
- Support AI applications through identity integration, environment management, deployment support, and usage governance.
- Run ITSM processes, manage vendors and licensing, and lead, coach, and cross-train the IT operations team.
What You Bring
- 10+ years of progressive infrastructure and operations experience, including 3+ years leading teams or major infrastructure programs.
- Experience owning an enterprise environment end to end, including inherited and legacy systems.
- Deep hands-on Microsoft Entra ID and Microsoft 365 administration experience at organizational scale.
- Strong Azure operations experience across App Services, containers, Key Vault, networking, monitoring, and cost management.
- Hands-on AWS administration experience across EC2, Windows Server, SQL Server, VPC, IAM, S3, AWS Backup, CloudWatch, and Systems Manager.
- Working knowledge of security operations and experience designing and testing cloud backup and disaster recovery.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server administration and support in cloud and on-premises environments.
- ITSM discipline and clear documentation and communication habits are required; ITIL certification, PostgreSQL, multi-site experience, and Microsoft or AWS certifications are assets.
Compensation
- Base salary ranges from CAD 125,000 to CAD 145,000 based on experience.
- The role is eligible for an annual performance bonus and extended health and dental benefits.
Workplace and Travel
- This is a hybrid role requiring three days per week on site at the Toronto, Ontario head office.
- Minimal travel is required.
