About the Role
McDermott International is seeking a Senior Manager for Hook Up & Commissioning to lead the HUC team in preparing technically compliant bids and developing execution strategies for offshore projects.

Responsibilities
- Review, define, and develop project HUC scope and deliverables including HUC execution plans and schedules
- Management of assigned HUC team to ensure work is delivered as per plan
- Interfacing with other internal departments and ensuring alignment and strategies are developed
- Responsible for constructability reviews and ensure items are agreed and closed with cost effective solutions
- Ensuring readiness process is conducted, followed, reported and agreed prior to mobilization
- Management of marine spread including JUBs, workboats & supply boats
- Controlling and managing the assigned HUC budget and report against the budget (EAC)
- Responsible for developing client relationship, conduct project meetings with client
- Responsible for conducting HAZID and SIMOPS workshops
- Ensuring that business and operational risks are identified and managed
- Manage daily progress during execution campaigns, lead daily offshore calls, ensure safety
- Mobilize offshore when required to ensure visible leadership and manage work
Requirements
- 15+ years in offshore Oil & Gas with a minimum of 5 years in a similar role
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering

Overview
- This is an HUC functional leadership role that will focus primarily on ensuring technical compliant bids are prepared by the HUC team.
- There is a strong possibility that the role will transition into a project based HUC Manager on award of a new project.
- As the assigned HUC Manager you will develop the technical execution strategy for hook up and commissioning works, this includes ensuring detailed constructability has been considered to optimize execution duration offshore.
- You will lead a team of HUC engineers to define and sequence the most optimal work execution methodology and work closely with the HUC estimators to finalize the overall HUC cost.
- You will have a good understanding of managing an offshore HUC marine spread including JUB’s, workboats, supply vessels.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities

- Management of assigned HUC team to ensure work is delivered as per plan including jobcards, execution plans, duration estimates
- Strong communications skills and ability to present to leadership
- Interfacing with other internal departments and ensuring alignment and strategies are developed
- Responsible for constructability reviews and ensure items are agreed and closed with cost effective solutions and safe work practices
- Ensuring readiness process is conducted, followed, reported and agreed prior to mobilization
- Management of marine spread including JUBs, workboats & supply boats
- Controlling and managing the assigned HUC budget and report against the budget (EAC)
- Responsible for developing client relationship, conduct project meetings with client, ensure alignment for execution strategies, deliverables etc.
- Responsible for conducting HAZID and SIMOPS workshops.

- Ensure critical subcontractors and vendors requirement is pre defined and assigned
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience: 15+ years in offshore Oil & Gas with a minimum of 5 years in a similar role
- Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
