Capital Planning and Forecasting

  • Lead the annual Capital Budget, Long Range Plan, and quarterly forecast processes.
  • Partner with site engineering and project teams to develop capital investment plans aligned with business objectives.
  • Consolidate global CAPEX forecasts and cash flow projections across manufacturing sites.
  • Perform scenario analysis and recommend project prioritization and cash flow requirements.

Capital Reporting and Analytics

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual CAPEX reporting decks for Executive Leadership and CFO reviews.
  • Analyze actual spending against budget, forecast, and prior-year performance.
  • Monitor project-level spending, commitments, accruals, and cash flow.
  • Develop dashboards and KPI reporting for capital utilization, project progress, ROI, and payback analysis.
  • Provide insights into spending trends, variances, risks, and opportunities.

Project Financial Governance

  • Ensure compliance with Capital Expenditure Policies, Delegation of Authority, and approval requirements.
  • Review Capital Authorization Requests, project business cases, and financial justifications.
  • Track project approvals, changes, and closeout activities.
  • Monitor capitalization readiness and support transfer from CWIP to Fixed Assets.
  • Coordinate with Accounting on capitalization, depreciation, and asset management requirements.

Business Partnership

  • Partner with Engineering, Operations, Procurement, and Project Management teams to evaluate investment opportunities.
  • Evaluate manufacturing expansions, equipment purchases, automation projects, and compliance initiatives.
  • Provide ROI, NPV, IRR, and Payback analyses for strategic capital investments.
  • Identify project risks and recommend corrective actions.

Process Improvement and Systems

  • Drive automation and standardization of capital reporting processes.
  • Develop and enhance Power BI dashboards and reporting tools.
  • Support SAP, JDE, or Coupa ERP integration initiatives related to capital management.
  • Improve reporting accuracy, controls, and efficiency across global operations.

Skills and Experience

  • Experience in capital reporting, finance reporting, or FP&A supporting multiple geographical locations is required.
  • The skills section states 7–10 years of relevant experience, while the experience section states 15 or more years overall.
  • Professional qualifications include required CA and preferred ICWAI or MBA credentials.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of financial metrics are required.
  • Excellent Excel, data management, and analytical skills are required.
  • The role requires independent work, multi-team coordination, organization, attention to detail, and deadline management.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • CA is required.
  • ICWA and MBA are preferred.
