About the Role
Yakan, an AI-native fintech in the GCC, seeks a hands-on Finance & Accounting Manager to own the full finance function for Saudi operations. You will manage bookkeeping, banking, tax compliance, and reporting, with experience in profit-sharing structures.

Responsibilities
- Own day to day bookkeeping and ensure accuracy and timeliness of the ledger.
- Design and maintain chart of accounts, accounting policies, and workflows for a trading and profit sharing business.
- Set up, configure, and administer the accounting system (Zoho Books or NetSuite).
- Manage banking operations, including payments and transfers under maker checker control.
- Perform bank reconciliations and manage cash positioning.
- Manage external accounting and tax firms for VAT, Zakat, and corporate tax compliance.
- Prepare monthly management accounts and annual financial statements.
- Lead year end audit with external auditors.
- Produce management reports and analysis for management and investors.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and investor/lender reporting.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Professional qualification (CPA, ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent)
- SOCPA registration (or eligibility) strongly preferred
- 7 12 years of accounting/finance experience within Saudi Arabia
- Proficiency with cloud accounting systems (Zoho Books and/or NetSuite)
- Strong grasp of internal controls and audit readiness
- Solid working knowledge of IFRS as applied in Saudi Arabia

The Role
- Hands on, mid level Finance & Accounting Manager to own the full finance and accounting function for Saudi operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Own day to day bookkeeping and be accountable for ledger accuracy.
- Design and maintain chart of accounts and accounting policies for a trading and profit sharing business.
- Set up, configure, and administer the accounting system (e.g., Zoho Books or NetSuite).
- Maintain clean records of asset cost base, funding split, holding period, and disposal.
- Manage banking operations as maker with CFO as approver.
- Verify funds before authorizing asset transfers.
- Perform bank reconciliations and manage cash positioning.
- Maintain internal controls and audit trail over cash movements.
- Manage external accounting and tax firms for VAT, Zakat, and corporate tax compliance.
- Ensure compliance with Saudi VAT, e invoicing, withholding tax, and Zakat obligations.
- Prepare monthly management accounts and annual financial statements.
- Lead year end audit with external auditors.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Professional qualification (CPA, ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent).
- SOCPA registration (or eligibility) strongly preferred.

- Exposure to early stage or high growth start up environment.
- Familiarity with multi entity/GCC group reporting (KSA and UAE).
What Success Looks Like (first 6 12 months)
- Clean, well structured chart of accounts and accounting system live and reconciled monthly.
- Reliable maker checker banking process with no title or cash released without verified funds.
- VAT/Zakat registrations and filings up to date with no compliance gaps.
- Monthly management accounts and per vehicle profit share reporting delivered on a predictable cadence.
- Smooth first year end audit.
