Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of interior and exterior lighting concepts for residential, commercial, and mixed use developments.
- Create lighting layouts, specify fixtures, prepare detailed drawings and documentation.
- Coordinate with architects, interior designers, engineers, and project managers to ensure cohesive design integration.
- Review project requirements, conduct site visits, perform lighting calculations, and ensure compliance with local regulations, sustainability standards, and brand guidelines.
- Mentor junior designers, manage design timelines, present concepts to stakeholders, and collaborate with suppliers to evaluate new technologies and products.
Requirements
- Demonstrated expertise in architectural and interior lighting design, including concept development, fixture selection, and preparation of technical drawings and specifications.
- Proficiency with relevant design and visualization tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Dialux/Relux, Photoshop, and other lighting simulation software).
- Strong knowledge of lighting standards, codes, and best practices, including energy efficient and sustainable lighting solutions.
- Experience coordinating with multidisciplinary teams on complex development projects.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Track record of leading and mentoring junior design team members.
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Lighting Design, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Previous experience in large scale real estate or mixed use developments, preferably in the Middle East region.
- Fluency in English; additional language skills are beneficial.

- The Senior Lighting Designer role is a full time, on site position based in the United Arab Emirates.
