Job Description
Senior Legal Counsel role focused on legal support, client matters, litigation, arbitration, and compliance with Qatari law and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Follow Qatari laws and regulations.
- Research and draft legal reports, including research on applicable laws, regulations, and judgments.
- Attend client meetings and provide or draft verbal and memorandum-based legal advice.
- Review, draft, and redraft contracts and agreements.
- Prepare client legal documents for litigation and arbitration.
- Attend and follow up on court and arbitration expert meetings, dates, and decisions.
- Prepare correspondence, letters, responses, and notices.
- File lawsuits in courts and arbitrations.
- File complaints with police departments and public prosecution departments.
- Attend court hearings and police investigations and submit defense memorandums.
- Register and track hearings, complaints, decisions, judgments, and awards.
- Complete procedural applications before hearings, meet client deadlines, provide updates, and coordinate case strategy with other legal counsels.
Qualifications
- Work experience is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in law or higher is required.
- Excellent communication and typing skills are required.
