Chase UK is building a digital bank focused on seamless mobile banking experiences.
The role is a Senior Lead Software Engineer within the International Consumer Bank and involves end-to-end delivery of cloud-native solutions.
The position includes design, architecture, and participation across the full software development lifecycle.
Job Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Create and maintain clean, efficient, and reusable code.
- Conduct thorough testing to ensure robust and reliable applications.
- Troubleshoot and debug issues for smooth application functionality.
- Gather requirements from stakeholders and provide progress updates.
- Mentor junior developers through best practices and code reviews.
- Stay updated with mobile development trends and best practices.
- Drive continuous improvement of development processes and workflows.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills
- Proficiency in React.
- Experience building applications with React Native and Expo using TypeScript or JavaScript.
- Strong knowledge of React Native architecture.
- Understanding of REST APIs and GraphQL.
- Ability to write testable, clean JavaScript code.
- Comfort working with projects partially or fully using TypeScript.
- Experience with React Suspense and Hooks.
- End-to-end application testing experience with WebdriverIO or Playwright.
- Extensive experience in modern mobile development.
- Hands-on experience with design systems and component libraries across large-scale applications.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills
- Formal JavaScript training or certification and advanced JavaScript experience.
- Strong JavaScript, TypeScript, and ES6+ knowledge.
- Modern web development experience, including responsive design and performance optimization.
- Native Android or iOS development experience using Kotlin or Swift.
- Ability to work in dynamic Agile environments with geographically distributed teams.
- Focus on promptly addressing customer needs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
