JPMorganChase is hiring a Senior Lead Software Engineer - Python Backend Developer within the Commercial and Investment Bank.
The role supports trade structuring tools and components used globally by trading desks and support teams.
Responsibilities
- Write high-quality backend Python code using SOLID, YAGNI, and KISS principles.
- Participate in user requirements meetings and propose technical solutions.
- Drive adoption and governance of approved AI-assisted engineering practices.
- Establish validation standards for secure coding, peer review, automated testing, release readiness, and incident analysis.
- Complete full-lifecycle development, maintenance, and enhancements.
- Support development teams by investigating issues, identifying root causes, and resolving problems.
Required qualifications
- Formal software engineering training or certification and 5+ years of applied experience.
- Strong object-oriented programming and test-driven development experience using Python.
- Experience leading enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and validating AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, resiliency, and security.
- Experience with distributed computing architectures and event-based architecture.
