Role Overview
Join Arista Networks as a Senior/Lead Network Systems Software Engineer.
Design and build software controlling hardware components in switches and routers, including sensors, controllers, storage devices, FPGAs, NICs, and PCIe switches.
Own projects from definition through deployment and customer interactions while working with customers, product management, and hardware teams.
What You'll Do
- Interface with customers, product management, and hardware engineers to define network systems features.
- Architect, design, and manage development of features.
- Develop and maintain features using C, C++, and Python.
- Review functional and design specifications and build automated tests and test infrastructure.
- Work with hardware and manufacturing teams to bring new hardware to market.
- Design software control interfaces for managing hardware components.
- Provide technical leadership across features, projects, and tools.
- Analyze and fix customer network and system test problems.
- Mentor new and junior engineers.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering plus 8 years of experience; or master's degree plus 6 years; or Ph.D. plus 3 years; equivalent work experience is accepted.
