Role Overview
Adaptive is hiring a Senior Java Developer for its Montreal team on a fintech project.
The project is in the Financial Crime Surveillance domain and includes fraud-resolution orchestration and card-fraud capabilities.
The work involves a Resolution Management Orchestrator, external fraud-partner integrations, and a Decisions Loader.
Key Work
- Develop ordered, single-execution, and resilient processing of client fraud-related events.
- Implement actions such as payment blocking, card restriction, and profile suspension.
- Route external partner fraud decisions to the internal data warehouse and support fraud-alert investigations.
- Solve complex technical challenges using modern technologies, cloud-based approaches, and event-driven architecture.
- Work collaboratively, share knowledge, and contribute to Agile delivery.
Required Experience
- Significant professional server-side software development experience is required.
- Solid Core Java experience and working knowledge of Java 17 or later are required.
- Experience with front-office financial systems, e-trading, FIX, and OMS, EMS, or exchange systems is required.
- Experience or exposure to equities trading and brokerage is required.
- Knowledge of data structures, dependency injection, inversion of control, Agile methods, and artificial intelligence is required.
- French-language capability is required.
- Employment or engagement is subject to an acceptable background check.
