Role Overview
Build and scale the next generation of platforms for Citi's core Controls Technology area.
Work as a hands-on technical contributor within an agile Scrum team.
Design and implement high-quality software solutions for complex technical challenges.
Applications Development Responsibilities
- Lead an Applications Development team and manage personnel activities including performance evaluations, training, hiring, and development.
- Recommend procedures that improve process efficiency.
- Resolve application development issues using technical judgment and established precedents.
- Ensure the quality of work delivered by the team and advise related work teams.
- Serve as backup to the Applications Development Manager and coach junior developers and analysts.
- Assess risk, maintain compliance, and create accountability for control standards.
Technical Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, containerized Java Spring Boot microservices.
- Use AI-powered development tools and code analyzers to improve velocity and code quality.
- Build high-performance APIs and event-driven integrations with control systems.
- Develop APIs supporting React or Angular micro-frontend applications.
