Senior Java Developer - Assistant Vice President

Qualifications

• Experience: 7+ years of hands-on experience in software development, with a strong track record of building robust, production-grade backend systems.
• Mandatory Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Java 17 or above . Deep hands-on experience with the Spring Boot framework . Solid experience with event streaming and messaging platforms, specifically Apache Kafka . Experience with in-memory data stores/caching mechanisms, specifically Redis . Strong understanding and practical application of software Design Patterns . Foundational SQL skills (minimum requirement for database querying, schema understanding, and data manipulation).

• Professional & Cloud Qualifications: Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift) and building cloud-native applications. Proven experience mentoring junior developers and driving technical alignment within an agile team. Strong sense of ownership and the ability to work independently as a senior individual contributor. A keen interest in or experience with leveraging AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity and code quality. Deep understanding of microservice architecture and RESTful API development best practices. Experience working in Financial Services or another large, complex global environment is highly desirable. Consistently demonstrates clear, concise, and professional written and verbal communication.
