Senior Java Backend Developer

6+ years of software development experience, with advanced proficiency in Java, Spring, Spring Boot, and Spring Data JPA.

Hands-on experience developing and supporting scalable backend applications in a cloud environment.

Strong experience with Apache Kafka or another enterprise messaging or queueing technology.

Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes, and modern application deployment practices.

Experience working in an Agile Scrum environment and collaborating with technical and business stakeholders.

Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure.

Experience designing large-scale, high-volume, or distributed applications.

Knowledge of cloud-based analytics solutions and architectures.

Experience implementing application monitoring and observability solutions.

Ability to guide developers and contribute to technical design and documentation standards.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $68,000 – $110,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
