The role is part of the Technology Operations and Resiliency Network Operations Centre and focuses on incident detection, response, service restoration, and disaster recovery.
The position requires AI-driven monitoring knowledge and the ability to maintain business continuity during infrastructure failures and testing.

Opportunity
The Senior IT Operations Analyst monitors and supports RBC’s global network environment on a 24/7/365 basis.
The role is part of the Technology Operations and Resiliency Network Operations Centre and focuses on incident detection, response, service restoration, and disaster recovery.
The position requires AI-driven monitoring knowledge and the ability to maintain business continuity during infrastructure failures and testing.
Responsibilities
- Detect, investigate, diagnose, and resolve network incidents across production infrastructure using AI-powered anomaly detection and predictive analytics.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize network performance using ServiceNow, Spectrum, Moogsoft, PagerDuty, NetworkView, and NetOps platforms.
- Execute and validate disaster recovery runbooks, schedule exercises, and complete failover, backup activation, and recovery validation tasks.
- Lead disaster recovery infrastructure testing, failover drills, and recovery procedure improvements.
- Coordinate with IT support and disaster recovery teams to develop, document, test, and improve datacentre runbooks.
- Implement AI-driven automation for routine operations, incident triage, and ticket categorization.
- Analyze AI-generated alerts and recommendations and improve machine learning model detection accuracy.
