Job Summary
A Senior Interior Technical Designer within an engineering consultancy, responsible for developing and reviewing design deliverables across all project stages (Concept / SD / DD / IFC), ensuring design quality, coordination, and compliance with codes and authority requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and review design packages across SD / DD / IFC stages.
- Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and finish schedules.
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes and authority requirements.
- Coordinate with Architecture, Structure, and MEP disciplines.
- Review and approve contractor Shop Drawings.
- Review and approve material submittals.
- Prepare technical reports and QA/QC documentation.
- Support authority approvals and submissions.
- Apply BIM for coordination and clash detection.
- Provide design supervision during construction.
Requirements
- Minimum 12 years of overall experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in the same position (Senior Interior Technical Designer or equivalent).
- Strong knowledge of design stages and deliverables.
- Good understanding of applicable codes (e.g., SBC).
- **Awareness of Sync Code and related coordination requirements.**
Skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM coordination.
- Strong technical review and detailing skills.
- Excellent coordination and time management abilities.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
