- Lead the diagnosis and repair of complex faults in instrumentation systems, including DCS, ESD, F&G, and PLCs
- Supervise and execute preventive and corrective maintenance on field instruments (pressure, flow, level, temperature)
- Ensure precision calibration of instruments in compliance with international standards (ISA, IEC)
- Validate loop integrity and perform functional testing during commissioning and shutdowns
- Oversee the installation and commissioning of new instrumentation systems and upgrades
- Maintain and review technical documentation, calibration records, and maintenance logs
- Ensure compliance with HSE regulations, company policies, and industry best practices
- Provide technical guidance and on the job training to junior instrumentation technicians
- Participate in root cause analysis (RCA), HAZOP studies, and reliability improvement initiatives
- Recommend upgrades and modifications to improve system performance and reliability
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Instrumentation, Electronics, or related engineering field
- Minimum 8–10 years of experience in instrumentation maintenance within oil & gas or petrochemical industries
- Strong knowledge of control systems (DCS, PLC, SCADA), fieldbus technologies (HART, Foundation Fieldbus), and hazardous area classifications (ATEX, IECEx)
- Proficient in interpreting P&IDs, loop diagrams, and technical manuals
- Experience with CMMS platforms (e.g., SAP PM, Maximo) and digital maintenance tools
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem solving skills

Position Summary
- The Senior Instrumentation Technician is a key technical expert responsible for overseeing the maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of complex instrumentation and control systems in Dugas.
