The position is Senior Instrument Technician with Bureau Veritas Mineral Solutions.
The role is located in KSA, Jeddah.
Minimum Required Qualifications
- The specialty is chemistry or science.
- A bachelor's degree is required.
- At least 5 years of experience operating ICP and other instruments in testing laboratories is required.
Technical Knowledge and Expertise
- Sound knowledge of ICP-MS, ICP-OES, and AAS instrumentation.
- Experience in instrument operation, maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with ISO/IEC 17025 and laboratory quality systems.
- Ability to analyze test data and prepare technical reports.
Instrumentation Responsibilities
- Operate, troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and optimize analytical instruments, primarily ICP-MS and ICP-OES systems.
- Support analytical testing by ensuring instruments are configured, calibrated, and operating within specifications.
- Perform performance checks, calibration verification, preventive maintenance, and corrective actions.
- Coordinate with service engineers and technical support teams on maintenance, repairs, spare parts, and service interventions.
- Monitor inventory levels of consumables, standards, reagents, and critical spare parts.
- Maintain equipment condition and report malfunctions, abnormal performance, or damage.
- Maintain maintenance, calibration, service, performance, and LIMS documentation.
- Support ISO/IEC 17025 compliance, quality control, equipment verification, proficiency testing, and inter-laboratory comparisons.
- Assist the Laboratory Supervisor with daily technical activities and perform delegated supervision when required.
