Senior II Public Sector Business Development Manager

Our team drives Akamai's expansion into the $829B defense and aerospace industry. We build strategic partnerships with premier federal contractors, innovative GovTech startups, and established DefenseTech providers. We create force multipliers for Akamai's public sector messaging across the expansive federal solutions integrator community.

Ideally, you'll be strategic, relationship-focused, and results-driven. Passionate about building and scaling strategic partnerships that serve government missions.

As a Senior II Public Sector Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for:

Leading engagement strategy with Tier 1 federal system integrators and innovative GovTech solution providers

Developing both strategic alliance and channel partnership models for comprehensive go-to-market approaches

Building strategic alliances with large federal contractors while developing channel partnerships with emerging providers

Creating tiered partnership programs accommodating large contractors and innovative technology startups serving government

Developing joint value propositions combining Akamai's edge security solutions with diverse federal technology provider capabilities

To be successful in this role you will:

Have 8+ years business development experience in federal markets with strategic alliance and channel development

Possess deep understanding of federal procurement processes including RFP, RFI, RFQ, and OTA mechanisms nationwide

Have proven track record building strategic partnerships with large federal contractors and emerging technology providers

Be experienced with federal contract vehicles including GSA, CIO-SP3, OASIS, and SEWP mechanisms across ecosystems

Have knowledge of federal compliance requirements including FedRAMP, CMMC, and agency-specific security standards applicable

Possess understanding of cybersecurity solutions including CDN, edge security, Zero Trust architecture, and security
