Position overview

Senior HVAC Technician position in the Engineering & Facilities department at Westin Hotels & Resorts.

The role is based at Salwa Road, Doha, Qatar.

The schedule is full time and the position is not remote.

The position is classified as non-management.

Technical responsibilities

  • Inspect, repair, and maintain HVAC, air quality control, and refrigeration equipment.
  • Inspect and maintain the mechanical plant daily and monitor property temperature.
  • Monitor and analyze energy and utilities usage.
  • Calibrate controls, gauges, meters, and other equipment.
  • Install, test, repair, and maintain electrical systems and electronic wiring.
  • Install and maintain pipe assemblies, fittings, valves, and related components.
  • Perform routine pool and spa maintenance.

Safety and service duties

  • Follow company, safety, and security policies and complete safety training and certifications.
  • Report maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, and injuries.
  • Maintain a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance.
  • Protect confidential information and company assets.
  • Welcome guests, address service needs, and communicate clearly and professionally.
  • Maintain positive working relationships and respond appropriately to employee concerns.
  • Identify and implement improvements in efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and cost savings.
  • Perform physical work in confined, elevated, sloping, uneven, or slippery areas and move objects weighing up to or over 100 pounds.
  • Perform other reasonable duties requested by supervisors.

Preferred qualifications

  • A technical, trade, or vocational school degree is preferred.
  • At least three years of related work experience is preferred.
  • No supervisory experience is required.

Required certifications

  • EPA Universal Certification is required.
  • A driver's license is required.
  • HVAC Certification is required.
