Strategy, policies and procedures
- Develop structured corrective and preventive action plans to identify systemic HSE risks, compliance gaps, and control weaknesses.
- Lead implementation and monitoring of HSE governance frameworks across EMX Business Units.
- Review and update HSE policies, procedures, and standards and ensure they are communicated and applied.
- Align HSE practices with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001, EMX QMS, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and protect the interests and reputation of 7X.
Operational HSE implementation
- Conduct regular site visits, inspections, workplace observations, and risk assessments to identify hazards and ensure compliance.
- Recommend and implement preventive and corrective measures to minimize workplace risks.
- Develop corrective action plans and drive continuous improvement and Kaizen initiatives related to health and safety.
- Report on HSE matters in regular meetings and ensure agreed action points are completed within defined timelines.
- Maintain and periodically review business unit HSE risk registers and track corrective actions.
- Ensure timely closure of identified issues and escalate critical risks with clear mitigation.
Requirements
- Knowledge of and ability to align HSE practices with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001, EMX QMS, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience conducting site inspections, workplace observations, and risk assessments.
- Experience developing and implementing HSE programs, governance frameworks, policies, and procedures.
- Ability to develop corrective and preventive action plans and track issue closure.
- Experience with incident investigations and HSE training design and delivery.
