- Build productive relationships across the organisation
Requirements
- Sound knowledge of the Local Government Act 1995 and associated Regulations
- Demonstrated experience in a local government governance role
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Proven ability to exercise initiative and sound judgement
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to lead, coach and develop a small team

- We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated Senior Governance Officer to join our Governance and Council Support team.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the end to end Council and Committee meeting process and support provided to Elected Members
- Oversee and implement governance and compliance requirements
- Play a key role in the planning and delivery of local government elections
About You
- Sound knowledge of the Local Government Act 1995 and associated Regulations
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Proven ability to exercise initiative and sound judgement
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective working relationships
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to lead, coach and develop a small team
Salary and Benefits
- Salary range from Level 6 7 Step 1 Step 4 ($104,647.66 $122,437.23) per year
