Job Overview

We are seeking a Senior GitLab Lead Engineer to take ownership of an enterprise GitLab platform.
The role focuses on self-managed GitLab architecture, modernizing CI/CD, migrating from legacy toolchains, and optimizing the platform within an enterprise environment.
This is a highly hands-on role requiring deep technical expertise and the ability to operate independently.
Design and optimize self-managed GitLab architecture
Lead migration from legacy CI/CD platforms (e.g., Jenkins)
Configure and maintain GitLab Geo and multi-region environments
Troubleshoot complex CI/CD pipelines and runner infrastructure
Implement DevSecOps practices, including security scanning
Automate infrastructure using Terraform and/or Ansible
Perform GitLab performance tuning and platform stabilization
Manage backup, restore, HA, and disaster recovery configurations
Document architecture, migration procedures, and operational guides
Work directly with enterprise stakeholders and technical teams
