About the Role
Salam Technology seeks a Senior Generator Technician with a Diploma in Electrical Engineering and minimum 10 years of hands-on experience maintaining high-capacity diesel generators (1600 KVA and above).

Responsibilities
- Operate, maintain, and perform preventive and corrective maintenance on diesel generators
- Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults efficiently
- Handle emergency breakdowns to ensure uninterrupted power supply
- Perform Load Bank testing and fuel system management
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, single line diagrams, and layout drawings for maintenance and troubleshooting
- Prepare service reports and maintain technical documentation
Requirements
- Diploma in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 10 years of hands on experience as a Generator Technician
- Specialized in operation and maintenance of high capacity diesel power generators (1600 KVA and above)
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, control panels, ATS and LV switchgear
- Ability to diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults efficiently
- Familiarity with safety standards and maintenance procedures for power generation equipment
- Experience in handling emergency breakdowns and ensuring uninterrupted power supply
- Familiarity with Load Bank testing and fuel system management
- Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, single line diagrams, and electrical layout drawings
- Previous experience in data center environments or mission critical facilities is an added advantage
