About the role
Join Wise's Account Integrity team as a Senior Full-Stack Engineer focused on protecting customers from financial crime.
The team builds scalable fraud prevention controls and detection capabilities using machine learning, transaction monitoring, and data analysis.
What you will work on
- Build and refine controls that protect Wise customer accounts from account takeovers.
- Improve financial crime prevention infrastructure and detection capabilities.
- Design convenient customer-facing controls with Product and Design.
- Partner with data scientists and data analysts to improve detection capabilities.
- Own projects end to end and deliver measurable impact on customer security, automation, and product growth.
What you need
- Professional experience with Java or other JVM-based languages, including the Spring framework.
- Experience designing scalable web applications handling large amounts of traffic, ideally with React, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
- Experience designing and operating CI/CD pipelines, distributed systems, and concurrent systems.
- Experience with relational and non-relational databases, query optimization, and resilient schemas.
- Strong product mindset, accountability, independent project ownership, and data-driven decision-making.
