Senior Full Stack Software Engineer - Java/AWS

Design and develop event-driven architectures utilizing Kafka and related messaging technologies.

Implement highly available, fault-tolerant, and resilient application services.

Support enterprise transaction processing platforms requiring high throughput, reliability, and operational excellence.

Develop solutions that ensure transaction integrity, reconciliation, auditability, and operational control.

Build and enhance CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks.

Implement monitoring, observability, alerting, resiliency, and recovery capabilities.

Optimize performance, scalability, security, and availability across distributed environments.

Support applications throughout the software development lifecycle, including production support and continuous improvement initiatives.

Partner closely with Product Owners, Architects, Platform Engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver strategic technology solutions.

Collaborate effectively within Agile teams across global locations.

Translate business requirements into scalable and maintainable technical solutions.

Contribute to strategic modernization initiatives and enterprise technology roadmaps.

Deep expertise in Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, and Hibernate.

Strong experience building modern front-end applications using Angular and/or React.

Proficiency with TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.

Hands-on experience developing RESTful APIs, microservices, distributed systems, and event-driven architectures.

Experience building highly scalable, high-performance enterprise applications.

Strong understanding of object-oriented design principles, design patterns, and software architecture best practices.

Experience with Apache Kafka or Confluent Kafka.

Experience developing cloud-native applications on AWS, including EC2, ECS/EKS, S3, RDS, Lambda, and related services.

Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, and containerized application deployments.

Experience with Git, Bitbucket, Maven, Jenkins, Nexus, Jira, and CI/CD automation.

Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, DevOps practices, and continuous delivery principles.

Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code and automation practices is preferred.

Strong SQL, database development, and performance tuning experience utilizing Oracle or DB2.

Experience working with enterprise integration, messaging, and transaction-processing systems.

Knowledge of reconciliation processes, operational controls, audit frameworks, and data integrity solutions.

Understanding of observability, monitoring, resiliency engineering, capacity planning, and operational readiness practices.

Strong knowledge of secure coding principles, application security, and software engineering best practices.

Serves as a dedicated technology resource for advancing DTCC’s business opportunities and providing industry thought leadership for leveraging new technology. The goal of this new department is to partner internally with IT, our business and regulatory divisions and externally with clients, regulators, and fintech vendors, to help build new platforms and business models to advance DTCC’s mission to support the financial markets.
