The Senior Full Stack Engineer will own the product surface across the web app, mobile app, and TypeScript backend-for-frontend.
This is an ownership role covering architecture, product quality, technical decisions, and end-to-end delivery.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Own architecture, quality, observability, and roadmap across web, mobile, and the backend-for-frontend.
- Design product flows for chequing, card issuance, and instant payouts across every client.
- Own onboarding and activation end to end.
- Maintain the backend-for-frontend as a reliable contract with strict schemas, versioning, and backward compatibility.
- Take ownership of mobile releases, over-the-air updates, store submissions, and app health.
- Set technical standards, review architecture, mentor engineers, and partner with the CTO and product team on priorities.
Who We’re Looking For
- Substantial production TypeScript experience across the stack, including React or Next.js at scale and a backend with a proper data layer.
- Production React Native and Expo experience, or strong motivation and judgment to take ownership of mobile.
- Previous ownership of a product surface through launches, incidents, and redesigns.
- Strong focus on schemas, authentication boundaries, idempotent mutations, and accurate monetary values.
- Daily use of AI coding tools, clear written communication, independent prioritization, and comfort making decisions with incomplete information.
Senior Expectations
- Make trade-off decisions independently, surface problems before they affect users, and take responsibility for outcomes rather than only tasks.
- Multiply the team through patterns, reviews, mentoring, and technical leadership.
Bonus Points
- Fintech experience or experience in a domain where incorrect numbers have significant consequences.
- Design-system ownership, accessibility, internationalization, or Datadog RUM experience.

- Chexy works in its Toronto office five days per week.
