Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and support trading platform applications and integrations.
- Develop and maintain applications using Java and Python.
- Write and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database structures for trading workflows and analytics.
- Investigate production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term solutions.
- Own critical components and improve platform reliability, scalability, and performance.
- Collaborate with risk, operations, compliance, and technology teams.
- Contribute to architecture, code reviews, and engineering best practices.
Required Skills and Experience
- 10+ years of software engineering experience in capital markets or financial services.
- Strong Java and Python programming skills.
- Deep SQL database expertise, including SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or similar systems.
- Knowledge of credit products and instruments.
- Understanding of trade capture, allocations, settlements, and reporting.
- Excellent problem-solving, debugging, communication, and independent ownership skills.
