Role Overview
Apexon is seeking an experienced Senior Front-End Developer with expertise in scalable, high-performance web applications.
The role focuses on modern frontend technologies and frontend best practices in an Agile environment.
Work Model
- The role is onsite in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, five days per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable frontend applications using React.js and TypeScript.
- Build reusable UI components and responsive user interfaces.
- Integrate frontend applications with REST APIs and microservices.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, backend engineers, and QA teams.
- Participate in code reviews and maintain high-quality, maintainable code.
- Work with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems.
- Troubleshoot and optimize application performance.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Required Skills
- At least 7 years of frontend development experience.
- Strong expertise in React.js and TypeScript.
- Advanced JavaScript ES6+ knowledge.
- Experience integrating REST APIs and working with microservices architecture.
- Hands-on experience with Git/GitHub.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Strong understanding of HTML5, CSS3, responsive design, and frontend best practices.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Next.js or Vue.js.
- Automated testing using Jest, Cypress, or Playwright.
- CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
- Docker and cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
- Banking, financial services, or enterprise application experience.
- Experience building scalable, high-performance web applications.
