Primary Function of Position
Join the FPGA design team developing surgical robotics systems.
Develop and integrate FPGA designs for communications, embedded processing, sensor interfacing, and motor control.
Own FPGA designs from concept through production with attention to product safety and effectiveness.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Build and maintain a high-quality FPGA design platform with other FPGA team members.
- Develop modular FPGA content for highly shared applications.
- Evaluate and implement new technologies, tools, and processes.
- Provide input on FPGA and electrical system architecture decisions.
- Develop FPGA specifications and test protocol documentation from system-level requirements.
- Collaborate with FPGA Verification to implement functional simulation coverage.
- Work with hardware, software, mechanical, and manufacturing teams through system integration.
- Design, implement, and perform in-system FPGA verification and validation procedures.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering or computer engineering.
- At least 8 years of experience designing complex FPGA modules.
