About the Role
Rubicon Organics seeks a Senior Financial Analyst to join their FP&A team, providing actionable insights, developing KPIs, and supporting forecasting and analysis. The role is fully remote within Canada with occasional travel to Vancouver and Delta.

Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted advisor and business partner, providing clear financial insights and strategic recommendations
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) linking operational performance to financial results
- Lead monthly forecasting and variance analysis processes, explaining performance drivers and identifying risks and opportunities
- Support the development and coordination of annual budgeting and long range planning processes
- Identify and implement opportunities to streamline financial and business processes
- Contribute to Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process as needed
- Provide ad hoc financial support and lead special projects to support strategic initiatives
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years experience in FP&A, strategic finance, or related analysis role
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Highly skilled Excel user, developing scenario analysis and financial modelling
- Strong analytical ability with attention to detail and strategic context
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills
- Goal oriented and continuous improvement focused
- Highly collaborative and able to work effectively across different functions

Overview

- We are looking for a passionate and motivated Senior Financial Analyst to join our FP&A team to support decision making and drive results.
- This role will work cross functionally to provide actionable insights, develop KPIs and support continuous improvements of forecasting and analysis processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted advisor and business partner, providing clear financial insights, decision support, and strategic recommendations.
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) that link operational performance to financial results.
- Lead monthly forecasting and variance analysis processes, explaining performance drivers and identifying risks and opportunities.
- Support the development and coordination of the annual budgeting and long range planning processes.
- Identify and implement opportunities to streamline financial and business processes, enhance reporting accuracy and improve efficiency.
- Contribute to the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process as needed.
- Provide ad hoc financial support, leading special projects to support strategic initiatives and business requirements as required.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or equivalent working experience (CPA, CFA, or MBA preferred).
- Minimum 5 years' experience in FP&A, strategic finance, or related analysis role.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights.
- Highly skilled Excel user, developing scenario analysis and financial modelling.
- Strong analytical ability with attention to detail and strategic context.
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
- Goal oriented and continuous improvement focused, proactive and comfortable working in dynamic high growth environments.
- Proven track record of process improvement, automation, and optimization.
- Highly collaborative and able to work effectively across different functions and levels of the business.
Preferred Skills
- Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 or other relevant ERP systems.
- Experience in agriculture, manufacturing, or CPG.
- Experience building and maintaining dashboarding through Power BI or similar visualization tools.
- Knowledge of Power Query for data transformation and automation.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary of CAD 85K–CAD 100K plus annual performance bonus and phone stipend.
- Comprehensive medical and dental benefits after three months.
- Remote role with occasional travel to the Vancouver and Delta facilities.

Workplace
- This role supports a team based in Delta, BC, but is fully remote and open to candidates located in Canada.
- Occasional travel to our Vancouver office and Delta facility is required.
